A wild Light Fury who emerged well before the end of the war between dragons and humans, this independent beast has roamed the Barbaric Archipelago for almost two decades, during which she has consistently evaded capture. Garnering a reputation for her elusive, swift and clever nature, this Light Fury, simply called "The Swan," was named for the beautiful yet woeful songs that vikings claim to hear her sing. As an intelligent dragon, The Swan wears her name and reputation with pride. While she continues to live her life freely, some humans seek to tame her. Others seek to control her. What lies ahead for her is cloaked in mystery.

PERSONALITY.

Elegant, snide, clever and distant, The Swan knows of her beauty and cherishes it. She's somewhat vain and self-centered, seeing herself as higher than most others due to her natural speed and sleek appearance. Her pride is only helped by her capable amount of skill and patience. She is calculating, and is able to learn and think quickly. Her ability to figure out challenges and contraptions that otherwise puzzle some dragons has allowed her to evade capture since she first left the Hidden World.Because of this, the Swan is also independent and solitary, preferring to live and work on her lonesome rather than seek constant companionship. Among other dragons, she enjoys the occasional gossip and tales of human woes, but rarely concerns herself with the flightless two-leggeds who occupy the archipelago.Provided she is given time, patience and faith, she can eventually warm up to and befriend an individual. However, scarcely has this loner ever been seen with another consistently. Whether she is loyal and true is yet to be seen . . .

ABILITIES & SKILLS.

  • Plasma Breath: Like all Light Furies, the Swan is able to breathe a sphere of violet fire that is extremely hot and powerful on contact.

  • Cloaking: Also like other Light Furies, the Swan is able to cloak herself by heating up her scales via her plasma blasts. Doing so gives her skin a mirror-like quality, which allows her to blend in almost seamlessly with her surroundings.

  • Flight: A natural flier, The Swan possesses swiftness and incredible agility befitting of her species.

  • Vocalization: The Swan is unique for having a call that almost sounds like a woman's singing or weeping. It is described as gentle and evocative. Some Vikings claim that it is a cry of death, regarding the Swan somewhat like a banshee.

HISTORY.

Not much is known about The Swan. Her incredible intelligence, natural cloaking ability and swiftness has allowed her to persevere without human capture since she first emerged from the Hidden World. As a result of being rarely seen, but often heard, she's gained a bit of a reputation among Vikings in the Archipelago, who have given her name (among others) for her singing voice. While some seek to encounter and even tame this Light Fury, none have ever succeeded, or even caught little more than a glimpse of her pure white scales.
